I love my profession because it never gets old. With every new project I am presented with a new set of challenges.  Each client has their own concepts and desires for their property. Each architect brings their own style and response to the clients needs. Each site has its own amenities to highlight and its own constraints to work with. As Landscape Architect it is my job to bring all these elements together in a way that unites function and beauty.”

Richard Camp started his college education at the Atlanta College of Art where he studied Graphic Art and Photography. After transfering to the University of Florida he discovered the College of Landscape Architecture where he was able to bring together his graphic design skills and his experience gardening to help him graduate with a Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture. After graduation he moved to the Roaring Fork Valley to work for a small design build firm where he was quickly introduced to the challenges of designing and implementing landscapes in Colorado. After becoming licensed in the State of Colorado in 1998 he founded RCLA and has since worked on a diverse scale of projects ranging from small backyard designs to large scale multi-use developments and municipal parks. RCLA brings it’s expertise to wetland rehabilitation, xeriscape design, working with the City of Aspen’s Water Efficient Landscape Standards (WELS), Regional Municipal Public Park design, Ranch Planning, Land Planning and Sports Complex Master Planning.
